Who Can Be Nominated?
The Lt. Governor’s Challenge recognizes individuals and organizations making meaningful contributions to behavioral health and well-being in Delaware. Nominees must live, work, serve, or operate in Delaware, and the work being recognized must primarily benefit Delaware residents or communities. Self-nominations and nominations submitted by others are both welcome.
Eligible Nominees May Include:
Individuals, including youth, advocates, peers, caregivers, professionals, and community leaders
Nonprofit, community-based, and faith-based organizations
Schools, school districts, colleges, and universities
Health care and behavioral health providers, including for-profit providers
Recovery organizations and peer-support programs
Businesses, employers, and professional organizations
Municipalities, coalitions, and community groups
State of Delaware agencies, divisions, and other public-sector organizations
Types of Work That Qualify:

Local or statewide
Formal or informal
Individual efforts or organizational initiatives
Areas of Impact:
Mental health awareness and stigma
Prevention and early intervention
Access to treatment and support
Substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery
Peer and caregiver support
Youth or maternal mental health
Workforce well-being
First responder and veteran mental health
Community-based care
Behavioral health workforce needs
Other efforts that strengthen behavioral health outcomes in Delaware
